At St Brigid’s we have many aspiring musicians. We offer a broad spectrum of music lessons including: guitar with Mr Tom Birbeck, trumpet with Mrs Beth Burns, strings with Mrs Clodagh Oakes and woodwind with Mrs Una McCrisken. At the minute, we have 40 children learning instruments and practising them every day. Certificates and rewards are given to the most dedicated Musicians of the Month. Stars are also awarded for exceptional practice and musicianship.
At St Brigid’s we love to share our talents and we provide many opportunities for children to showcase their amazing musical skills. We currently have a school choir that practises weekly and performs at many church events as well as events in the local community. We are so proud of these pupils and are so thankful to our wonderful peripatetics for nurturing these budding musicians.
