π π Outdoor Learning in P3 this week π π
This week we have been so lucky that the frost has gone away and we have been able to get back outside to explore our fabulous grounds while developing our Literacy and Numeracy skills. βοΈ
On Monday, we took our Literacy lesson outside and made some Dinosaur Stew in our Mud Kitchen and went on a hunt to find 26 dinosaurs to put them in alphabetical order! We are loving our Dinosaur topic at the minute π¦ π¦
On Tuesday we participated in a shared Education Day in our school as we hosted our friends from Downpatrick P.S. we learnt all about Minibeasts and even went on a hunt to find some down in the bank area π π π
On Wednesday and Thursday, we did some Numeracy outside with QR codes and a stamp investigation down the bank! We had to send a letter to New York and had to think of how many ways we could made 10p, 20p or 30p! We also did some mental maths warm ups in the playground tooβοΈ β½οΈ
On Friday we participated in the RSPB Big Bird Watch 2023 and we were as quiet as mice down the bank, making sure not to scare the birds. We took a tally of all the birds that were walking about our grounds and we saw some blackbirds, magpies and even some people saw a robin! π¦ We love learning outdoors!
