We have been working hard, developing our understanding of Weight in Primary Three.
Last week, we began by recapping what we already knew about heavy and light and introduced the terms ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’ as well as ‘heaviest’ and ‘lightest’. We then worked in groups to compare different sets of objects and order them from heaviest to lightest.
This week we were developing our understanding of why we need a standard unit of measurement when measuring weight and we did this by using different non-standard units to measure the same items to see the difference it made.
