💻Safer Internet Week 💻
This week, we celebrated Safer Internet Week (a little later than usual due to half-term!) with a fantastic range of activities led by our amazing Digital Leaders. They organised a fun and engaging Blooket competition, ensured every class had a dedicated Safer Internet lesson, created a special "Ditch the Books" lesson and even led a whole-school assembly to share key messages. It was a brilliant week of learning and sharing, helping everyone to stay safe and responsible online.

Well done to Caitlin, Aoibhinn, Milo and Jude who participated in the NI Primary School Road Safety Competition today in Mourne Country Hotel, Newry. The team represented our school brilliantly and finished in a remarkable 5th place. They were treated to a wee McDonalds on their way back to school for all their hard work!

Early Years Dinosaur and Farm trip 🦖🚜🐖🐑
Today Early Years went to Ark Open Farm to learn more about Dinosaurs as part of our WAU topic🦕
We had so much fun exploring the different dinosaurs and even got to see some of the farmyard animals. We got up close with lots of different animals including chicks, guinea pigs, tortoises, bearded dragons and goats⭐️🤩🚜
A special thank you to our guide Paddy who was so helpful and made our trip very special ⭐️

🇪🇬 Ancient Egypt 🇪🇬
Today, Primary 6 rounded off their Ancient Egypt topic with an amazing trip to the Ulster Museum in Belfast.
We started off with the ‘hands on Ancient Egypt’ experience, handling artefacts, identifying objects and learning all about mummification.
We then toured through the museum, exploring all the Ancient Egyptian displays. Next, we came face to face with the mummified remains of Takabuti.
Lastly, we finished off with a bit of play with our toys from the past! 🧸

Over the last few months Miss Braniff, our LSC Teacher has been working towards achieving the CPD accredited course with Down Syndrome UK demonstrating her continued commitment to providing an inclusive and successful learning environment for children in our school who have Down syndrome.
As a member of DSUK's Primary Education Programme this ensures our school has access to expert advice, training and a suite of resources to support education and inclusion.
