The Well-being Champions held an assembly earlier in the year promoting friendship and being a good friend. They used this opportunity to teach the rest of the school how to check if we are experiencing Bullying Behaviour by using TRIP! Is it targeted, repeated, Intentional and causing physical, psychological or emotional harm?
Following this, the Well-being Champions worked hard to create a great mascot for our school. After lots of discussion and sharing ideas, we settled upon Listening Lamb. 🐑 Every class P1-P4 were presented with a special Listening Lamb in assembly. If we have a worry or feel anxious, we can go get Listening Lamb and our class and teacher will know to come and have a wee chat with us.
We have Listening Lamb boxes on every corridor too so we can write down our worries and Mrs Devlin or Mrs McConville will come and have a chat with us. Even Mrs Miller got a Listening Lamb for her office in case any staff or parents have a wee worry they need to chat about!
